The exhibition is dedicated to objects, records and signs of a commemorative nature. They were created in order to underline the exceptional character of the documented situations, capture the moment in time, bring back memories, remember fleeting emotions, and honour people and events.

The exhibits include both historical artefacts and contemporary objects. The core of the exhibition are things originating from the ludic and popular sphere of culture, yet flanked by single objects representing elite trends used as their counterpoint.

The exhibition, intended as a personal selection of ‘mementoes’ made by its curator, is meant to encourage reflection and leave space for comments added by visitors.

Please note: the exhibition may contain content unsuitable for very young viewers.

Curator of the exhibition: Elżbieta Berendt and the ME staff
