During the exposition in the undergrounds of the Church of St. Wojciech on the Main Square in Kraków the history of the market square and the Church of St. Wojciech located in its the south-eastern corner, which has been there for more than 1000 years and is one of the oldest brick sacral structures in Kraków, is presented.
In the undergrounds of the church, there are reconstructions (models) of the oldest wooden structure with only the foundations of the walls and the remains of the floors left and of the Roman brick church built 80-120 years later. The visitors are presented with a cross-section of layers showing the utility levels from before the creation of the church, relics of the floor in a wooden church as well as of the floor in a brick building. The second part of the exhibition presents changes of historical centre of Kraków from 1257 to 1962.
