The branch, designed under the principle of openness, merges the exhibition site with the educational centre with its modern conservation workshop. The spacious Studio Warehouse, allowing to display large-size objects, presents e.g., fragments of shipwrecks discovered at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, ancient Polish boats and the collection of exotic vessels from around the world. Additionally, the collection includes the yachts of legendary Polish sailors: ‘Dal’ of Andrzej Bohomolec and ‘Opty’ of Leonid Teliga. Whereas the modern conservation workshop, equipped with advanced instruments, on the one hand, allows to perform a wide range of works aimed to protect the treasures, and on the other, makes it possible for the visitors to observe the successive stages of conservation process.
