The Museum, located near the port in Kąty Rybackie, holds a collection of treasures related to the history of fishing and boatbuilding in the Vistula Lagoon. The exhibition, intentionally located in the former boatbuilding workshops, presents the traditional fishing boats, including a 10-meter sailing long-boat, fishing tools from the late 19th century and the early 20th century, as well as a historic boatbuilding workshop of the Schmidt family from Łaszka near Sztutowo. The exhibition is enriched with a cart for transporting the rescue boat, ice fishing tools, a unique ‘Ludowy 8’ ice boat and the artistic element – exceptional sculpture ‘Łódź’ by Dominik Kotarba, made of tens of thousands of sticks washed ashore. The Museum is also a place for educational activities related to the history of fishing and thematic temporary exhibitions.
