The Planetarium of the Nicolaus Copernicus Museum is located on the ground floor of the Radziejowski Tower (former bell tower) on the Cathedral Hill. The astronomical sessions presented there include, among others: Nicolaus Copernicus' heliocentric theory and various astronomical phenomena.

Our repertoire includes three sessions:

“Is anyone there?” – a session devoted to the search for life in space. It tells about the conditions prevailing on planets and other bodies of the solar system and about the discoveries of extrasolar planets. The constellations of the northern and southern sky are shown. Contains video fragments.

“Adventure on the Moon” – a show for the youngest viewers. Space heroes Flix and Brogen land on the Moon and view the Earth and the stars from this perspective. A session with a lot of animation (video).

"About revolutions" - a screening devoted to the heliocentric theory of Nicolaus Copernicus and his work. It illustrates the observed effects of Earth's movements according to the descriptions contained in "De revolutionibus". It shows how much knowledge about the solar system has expanded since the times of Copernicus. The screening used fragments of "De revolutionibus" in Polish translation and in the original. Contains video fragments.

The museum reserves the right to change the repertoire.

On request (after prior ordering, for organized groups), we present live viewings of the current appearance of the sky.
