In its premises the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art runs different forms of activities related to propagation of modern art. It organizes about 36 exhibitions a year. Best artists from Poland and abroad are invited to participate.
Other forms of activities, which are very popular, are lectures about the latest modern art and practical workshops or lessons.
Apart from exhibitions and educational work the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art organizes a periodical Polish Biennale of Young Art “Rybie Oko” and international meetings of performers. In August 2001 Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art was number one among the best Polish galleries of modern art, active outside big cities and art centers. The ranking was prepared by the Newsweek Poland weekly. Around 20.000 people a year take advantage of the Gallery’s offers.
The Small Gallery in Słupsk was established in 1992 at the head office of the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art. It has 108 square meters exhibition area. The Gallery is well designed for presentation of painting, drawing, sculpture and installations.
