Lengrenówka (Lengren's House) is an additional location of the Museum of Caricature. It is an adaptation of the former flat and studio of Zbigniew Lengren (1919-2003) – a famous Polish cartoonist at 6/8 Brzozowa Street in Warsaw. Lengrenówka will serve as a year-round cultural and educational facility. Its activities will focus mainly on educating children and young people through contact with a particular type of art and instrument of social education, namely caricature and satire. Workshops, lectures and thematic meetings will be held here. The opening of Lengrenówka is still planned for 2021.
In the next stage of preparations, a permanent exhibition of works by Zbigniew Lengren, a graphic artist, illustrator and caricaturist, who was associated with "Przekroj" for many years, will also be created there. He co-operated with the editors of the magazine from 1946, and from 1948 he published a series of drawings with Professor Filutek. The collection of the Museum of Caricature currently includes over 130 drawings and posters by Lengren. The museum has also acquired a large part of the collection of works and memorabilia from the artist's family and heirs, which it will use to present and promote his work.
Lengrenówka's partner is the PRZEKRÓJ Foundation, which will provide the museum with animations featuring Professor Filutek, as well as archive materials related to Zbigniew Lengren.
