On June 21, 2016, the Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka was officially opened for the new exhibition "Priest Stefan Wyszyński in Kozłówka 1940–1941". The honorary patronage over this undertaking was assumed by Archbishop Stanisław Budzik, Metropolitan of Lublin, who also presided over the Holy Mass in the palace chapel.
Father Stefan Wyszyński stayed in Kozłówka from August 1, 1940 to September 1, 1941. During the German occupation, the Kozłówka estate, owned by Aleksander and Jadwiga Zamoyski, became a place of residence for many displaced people or those at risk of arrest. Scholars, artists, landowners, comrades-in-arms of Aleksander Zamoyski and their families lived here. They stayed in Kozłówka, among others, prof. Czesław Znamierowski, a well-known philosopher and theoretician of law, with his wife and children, or the family of General Zygmunt Podhorski. The Franciscan Sisters, Servant of the Cross, along with a group of their blind charges from the factories in Laski and Żułów, also found shelter here. Father Stefan Wyszyński, despite the fact that he was wanted by the Gestapo, assumed the role of their chaplain and spiritual father.
During his thirteen-month stay, Priest Wyszyński performed pastoral ministry in Kozłówka and the surrounding area. He celebrated Masses and services, heard confessions, conducted lessons and retreats. He also provided pastoral care for partisans and was involved in secret teaching. He was involved in research, writing and didactic work. His lectures for the sisters and discussions in which other guests who were hiding at the Zamoyski family took part, were called the "Kozłówka academy". Father Wyszyński taught canon law and Catholic social science.
The figure of Father Stefan Wyszyński and his unique priestly personality were remembered in a special way by the inhabitants of the Kozłówka palace. Their memoirs were published in the book "Niezwykły Gość". The publication was accompanied by the ceremony of unveiling the bust of the Primate by Anna Wątróbska-Wdowiarska, set in the palace chapel in 2000.
In the room that used to be occupied by priest Stefan Wyszyński, an exhibition has now been arranged that recreates the former interior of the room, based on the memories of Monika and Krzysztof Znamierowski. The interior fittings, souvenirs, photographs and archival materials come from the old collections of the Zamoyski family and from the collections of:
