The Poznań Palm House has been located in Wilson Park for over a hundred years, being the oldest and largest garden of this type in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. It invites visitors on an unforgettable journey to distant continents among the rich vegetation of various climatic zones.
The experience is further enriched by the sounds of live birds, the sound of water and aquariums full of exotic fish. Over a thousand species of plants are presented in nine pavilions, 170 species of fish and about 50 species of aquatic plants in aquariums. Individual pavilions present the vegetation of a specific climatic zone, including temperate, subtropical and tropical plants, succulents and xerophytes of the old and new world, as well as savanna plants.
The attraction of the facility is a pavilion with aquatic plants with a large swimming pool for breeding the majestic Victoria Royal. At different times of the year, the Palm House also presents thematic educational paths, e.g. related to Christmas plants, citrus fruits or a day without palm oil. The organized exhibitions provide a unique and direct opportunity to learn about plants, animals and art in unusual surroundings.
When planning a visit, it is also worth paying attention to organized events (such as night tours or shows), which always add variety to your stay. The Palm House is also an ideal place for a family visit - in addition to its educational and cognitive values, this unique place guarantees a great time for everyone.
